I am the advisor for a school with a strong badminton club. With a tournament coming up and the club focusing on activities, I spot a couple getting cozy in the gym storeroom. Looking closer, I see it’s a boy and a girl from the badminton club. Both of them are excellent aces in the club. One girl in particular, Yumeri, is a student I’ve been working hard to develop since her first year, and she’s now in her third year, serving as captain thanks to her popularity with the other students. She’s beautiful and popular at school, featured on TV and in magazines, and known nationwide as a “beautiful player”… The student I’d been nurturing… That day, all the trust I’d built up over the past three years crumbled…
